I'm going to try and revive my dA life as best as I can.
A week from today, it will have been one year since I uploaded any deviations. This is unacceptable. I'm a few weeks into the second half of my sophomore year at the University of South Carolina Upstate. I have been making art. Naturally, I feel as if my traditional media-based pieces have been less than satisfactory (at least, in my eyes), though I am currently taking Digital Photography, and I've already learned a few new things [and reinforced old practices]. Even in my graphic design endeavors, I've produced some work I'm fairly fond of.
I intend to start submitting my work to galleries and art sales soon, and doing the best as I can to improve my craft. I've already been published; I'm technically a freelance shooter for a free local paper. While I'm basically an extra wheel they only use if they've no one else to spare, I've had a fair share of images displayed to the whole county. Working with people around even a small town like mine and learning about them has been a revolution for me. I want to show people the beauty latent in our world.
My dignity, ambition, and integrity have lately been surfacing, and I intend to make something of myself. I'm possibly going to be the president of the school's Club Art and Design. I'm minoring in German, and hopefully visiting the country during the month of June. I am also possibly transferring to Oklahoma State University Okmulgee in the fall. The girl from whom I bought my camera from attends that school, and constantly brags to me about the amazing experience it offers.
I have some things to show off, but I think I'll let that one week pass. Until then, I have a bit of catching up to do as far as homework and reading and the like. I'm tired of distractions. There's a whole world out there, and I feel I'm meant to capture it.
Please help me keep this spirit going.

Instead of counting candles,
Or tallying the years,
Contemplate your blessings,
As your birthday nears.
Consider special people
Who love you, and who care,
And others whove enriched your life
Just by being there.
Think about the memories
Passing years can never mar,
Experiences great and small
That have made you who you are.
Another year is a happy gift,
So cut your cake, and say,
"Instead of counting birthdays,
I count blessings every day!"

Love that lives in the heart cannot be so easily terminated by time. Even though the encounter is brief its impression shall last a lifetime. No one can change the direction of love that lives in the heart. If you have loved that in itself is the answer.
